The XK120 roadster launched in 1948 to great success and was produced through 1954, when it was replaced with the XK140 successor. The XK120 was the fastest production car in the world at the time of its launch, which only added to its popularity. When the XK140 rolled out, it kept true to the XK120 spirit and added a little more interior space, welcomed by taller drivers and also improved some systems like steering and brakes. The 1956 XK140 was the first Jaguar sports car to offer an automatic transmission.
The XK140 Drophead Coupe (DHC) was similar to the XK120 DHC, with the XK140 being a little more bulky than the lighter weight XK120 top. Drophead coupes had a fixed windscreen that did not remove like the roadsters did and they had a small rear seat. On this page you can shop for a replacement convertible top for either your 1952, 1953 or 1954 XK120 Drophead Coupe (DHC) or your 1955, 1956 or 1957 XK140 Drophead Coupe (DHC). XK120 and XK140 Roadsters are found here. Tonneau covers and headliners were available in these years and can be replaced from this TopsOnline product page also.
