Front & Rear Style

After the popular E-Type, Jaguar took a departure from the sports car convertible design and launched a series of luxury grand tourers that were based on the XJ line. The XJ-S was a popular model, but only had a XJSC cabriolet targa and did not have an official convertible in the 1986 to 1988 year range, so Jaguar contracted Car Craft and Hess & Eisenhardt (H&E) versions that converted the XJ-S (later called the XJS) into convertibles. They did quite well in the effort and the H&E conversion's unpadded top folded down deeper into the body than the later XJS model convertibles produced by Jaguar in 1989.
